Tearing Down the Altars of Q/Qanon

Being very concerned for all my Christian sisters and brothers in the body of Christ, because of the division caused by QAnon, I was pressed into writing about it. The divisions that arise between people over this subject show the deceptive cult mentality that looms within QAnon. It exploits readers because of the spirit in which it was created and conceived.

Therefore, I would like to share with you my personal journey out of QAnon. I also want to share with you my prayerful reasoning for trying to reach out to others in the spirit of love, hoping that no one else will experience the dreaded rabbit hole syndrome that QAnon presents.

First, let’s look at what the Bible contributes to this discussion concerning conspiracy issues and news. Yes, you’ll be a bit surprised.

This is especially true given all the disinformation flooding the news media and social networks. The most significant obligation we have as Christians is to know the Great Commission, which is our main privilege in Christ. Furthermore, we should not be ignorant of the times we are living in. This should not lead to condemnation, but to greater discernment!

Matthew 28:16-20... “Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Here is a Scripture that was shown to me that I did not even consider before all of the QAnon entrapment transpired:

Isaiah 8:12-13... “Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But YHWH of hosts, Him you shall honor as holy. Let Him be your fear.”

Also, I would like to add these verses in support:

“Now the Spirit speaks distinctly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” (1Timothy 4:1-2)

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” (Isaiah 66:4)

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)

With the Scriptures being showcased, I would like to relate to you what happened to me concerning QAnon and my dramatic change of heart and attitude.

It was a sudden occurrence that opened my eyes to the reality of the evil spirits behind QAnon and shook me to my core. It was a total shock to me, but it was an instant revelation of spiritual truth that I could not turn away from.

You should also be aware of the fact that I have followed numerous news subscriptions, from the independent and alternative, far right and far left. This has been the case for well over 15+ years! I also know that there always seems to be a thread of truth in much that we read. However, usually to get the full story on anything it takes checking out several news sites and several articles concerning the same thing. In doing this, discernment is always needed to sift through the plethora of writers and articles who have their own slant and agenda. It is only here that I present my change to those who are interested.

If it saves one person from a struggle with it all, it may save many.

The main reason for reading so much news and headlines for me, was because my hubby and I publish a faith themed magazine named... AWFSM. ‘A Word Fitly Spoken Magazine’. Currently ongoing for over 15 years. So right-wing and left-wing news is nothing new to us or its mixture of fake news!

Moreover, I have not been blind to the fact that there are many things we should question about our nation and its leaders. We should also question what taught in our schools and universities. In addition, there has been much evil in our governments and the decisions made in real time that affect the rest of the world all the time!

But even with all that being said, when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes suddenly, I could see the evil principalities and powers behind QAnon and its news channels. I could not deny the truth. There were demons in control.

Yes I did see the spirits in control of QAnon spiritually, as my eyes were opened to literally see them.

As a result, I was able to see the spirit of the principality of Jezebel, who is involved with other seducing spirits filled with witchcraft. They manipulate behind the scenes and exert influence on the promotion and projection of these news merchants. Their unmitigated fear keeps spreading.

QAnon has become a domestic agent of chaos. It spreads a fear mongering platform that is so convoluted that any general sense of truth becomes lost in the mire of its sheer evil entrapment.

Without wading into a lot of the history of QAnon, I would instead like to present its cause and effect. This movement was conceived in 2017 and exploded amid the Covid 19 surge of 2020 and its shuttered in place button down world (but is ongoing to this day).

As a result, many people became more receptive to the gospel of Q and its paranoia. From 4Chan, the Woke, and the Great Awakening, to the Deep State... such news engulfed itself in a toxic cloud of evil cyberspace and mesmerizing foggy information.

Truthfully, QAnon is not just a political movement per se. It also functions for people that believe in it, as both a social community and a source of social control and entertainment.

It literally becomes a shared reality with shifting story lines and a curious puzzle solving narrative adventure to be followed up on everyday. QAnon is likened to a cyberspace soap opera.

All the popular social media platforms have some form of QAnon groups that amplify their message and through algorithms, exploit their message from platform to platform. Now, we hear that such media platforms are starting to ban Q and its followers, which has only stoked its popularity and its con- spiracy mindset.

From 2020 and onward, QAnon flourished more than ever before due to recycled conspiracy theories and exploitative shifting beliefs. Many people, Christian and non-Christian are looking for a control handle they can grab onto, for their faith and their politics, due to the tumultuous times we live in. And Q seems to fit that need perfectly.

It takes strong beliefs and moral integrity to over- come political and religious corruption. The only thing that can match political corruption is religious corruption. Not only does our nation’s capital need to drain the swamp, it is needed in the church world as well. And we all are subject to it at one time or another. Due to its silver tongue and slivers of truth, the enemy uses it to carry out his evil game.

We know that people (all of us) listen to what we want to hear. When any source of knowledge or information we trust is tainted, it affects the entire system and continues to spread. We can liken this to the leaven spoken of in the Bible in (Galatians 5:9). So from tainted hearts spread tainted words and tainted news, tainted faith, tainted beliefs; effecting the spirit and soul, mind of those partaking of it.

QAnon is an example of something that may have started off right, but as it becomes polluted and abused, it ends up wrong. Political and religious corruption blocks biblical truth and common sense and leads people into spiritual darkness and sin.

We as believers cannot survive as an inclusive church (speaking as a community church or as we each stand as an individual representative of Christ). Inclusive re- ligion and inclusive politics is a deadly mixture and it can lead to reprobate minds and apostasy.

The darkness of QAnon is evident in its attempts to permeate whether seen or unseen, known or unknown. Where it tries to break from inclusiveness it becomes diabolically exclusive.

It is the duty of every believer and minister in Christ to separate the holy from the profane. However, that is not something we hear or see very much nowadays. And it shows, because many Christians have fallen into the QAnon rabbit hole. And its lies are filtering into every arena of life and living.

Every believer in Christ and minister in Christ proclaiming His Word, needs to remember that God directs with His rod and staff. With the staff, we also lead and with the rod, we drive off the wolves!

Can you see the massive divisions taking place in the USA? The divisions also being experienced within the body of Christ? Which does in turn confirm Scripture...

“Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Luke 21:10).

During that time, the Holy Spirit will separate the goats from the sheep, causing all that can be shaken to be shaken.

This we will all partake of in one way or another.

I leave you all with this plea regarding everything in this article. It’s a biblical truth that God will not be mocked, and whatever we sow, we will also reap. Sow to the flesh, and of the flesh, we do reap. All very plain and clear.

I pray you sense the truth written about here and will recognize any conviction from the Lord likewise (Galatians 6:7-8).

We will walk in mire clay if we fail to distinguish between the spirit and the flesh, and between the holy and the profane. Our footprints will become soiled and muddy, leaving a trail of grimy worldly traces. Such is the quagmire of QAnon, which I pray the Lord may save us all from.
