In a Thursday op-ed for the Chinese state-run outlet Global Times, the newspaper’s editor Hu Xijin told citizens of China to “prepare for an intense showdown” with the U.S.

“We must be prepared for an intense showdown between China and the U.S.,” Hu wrote. “The number of China’s nuclear warheads must reach the quantity that makes U.S. elites shiver should they entertain the idea of engaging in a military confrontation with China.”

Hu’s warning comes as China falls under the global microscope for potentially allowing COVID-19 to be released from the Wuhan Virology Institute biolab, whether accidental or on purpose.

In the article, Hu endorsed strengthening China’s nuclear arsenal in response to America’s “strategic containment” of China, which the editor said is becoming “increasingly intensified.”

Hu claimed a strong military buildup is a “cornerstone of China’s strategic deterrence against the U.S.”

“US hostility toward China is burning. We must use our strength, and consequences that Washington cannot afford to bear if it takes risky moves, to keep them sober,” he concluded.

As the COVID-19 narrative crumbles and the theft of the 2020 election becomes public knowledge, a war with China could be the perfect distraction for the maniacal global elite hoping to cling to power.
